One HVAC company is recommending Trane XV 90 but Coleman 2 ton B2CS 10 Seer-last year’s model. They say it’s because I am concerned about humidity in summer. Is this a good reco- not going with 13 Seer? And is Coleman a good brand- don’t see many around here (Toronto Ontario). Another company is reco Trane furnace and Trane a/c-XR 13. Diff take on same problem. Opinions?

The furnace is a good choice being a variable two stage. The ac should be a 14 seer when matched with a proper coil make sure that it’s a 410 system and keep away from Coleman there is a good government rebate available for 14 seer systems with a variable speed motor available here in Ontario(cool savings rebate)
Only deal with companies that can offer this rebate. Helps weed out the fly by night, work from the back of a truck companies.
I’m partial to Lennox Products installed by members of their premier dealer program.
the lennox g61 MVP furnace with either a xc14 or a 14acx will make a great system that will last years with Ltd lifetime warrenty on heat exchanger and 20 years transferable if you plan on selling. Lennox also has one of their manufactuing facilities right there in Toronto.

I went with Trane. Is the XV90 a builders grade. Make sure you know before you buy. No Offence to the Lennox Guy but I have had nothing but problems with my Lennox furnace. My sister has one and is replacing it as well.
