there will be differences in the compressors. trane usually uses a trane brand compressor, im pretty sure am stan uses copeland compressors.
you need to ask your dealer about warranties. trane comes standard with 5 year parts/ 1 year labor warranty.

I would skip both if you can
i would say that BRYANT "EVOLUTION" is my favorite by far.

Trane and Standard are the same mechanically and good if your on a budget. i just say that after all the years and the hundred or so installs for both units that there is something to be said for a little something better.

remember when buying a new furnace or boiler , the castings are all made in same place , they pretty much just add there controls and name plates and call it theres. i've been in plumbing buisiness a long time and tore a lot of them apart. look at warranties when purchasing not names. have seen cheaper ones with better warranties that are just as good or better. of course another plumber may not tell you this but i prefer to be honest.

I have been told that the products are identical. However, each dealer handles only one or the other product line. When I replaced my Lennox systems, both were replaced with Trane units, complete replacement - gas heat, conventional A/C.

All the brand name furnaces are good now a days. I have a Carrier Weather Maker in my home. And it's fine, but no better or worse then the other brand names. The efficiency on these new furnaces are so high that they are all comparable
